Classification model project through CRISP-DS methodology

In the context of Mercadolibre's Marketplace an algorithm is needed to predict if an item listed in the marketplace is new or used.

My task involves the data analysis, designing, processing and modeling of a machine learning solution to predict if an item is new or used and then evaluate the model over held-out test data.

The construction of this project used the CRISP-DS methodology.

Mercado Livre Data Challenge 2020 - Recommendation System Project

The Mercado Livre (https://www.mercadolivre.com.br/) hosts millions of lists of products and services. Users browse through them numerous times, in search of what they want to buy or just to come up with ideas for a new purchase.

Better understanding of what users may be interested in is fundamental to our business. In order for us to help you find what you are looking for, we provide personalized recommendations based on the most appropriate lists for each user's needs and preferences.

Given a six-month period of browsing logs for a given user, we challenge you to predict (or recommend) the ten most likely items for your next purchase.

Datasets:

The Dataset comes from https://ml-challenge.mercadolibre.com/downloads

Two data sets are provided: train_dataset.jl.gz and test_dataset.jl.gz

In both, each line represents a user's purchase and has two attributes associated with it: user_history and item_bought.

Extra data in the file items_data.jsonlines there is information that can be used as resources in the models.

Crawled data from Food.com (GeniusKitchen) online recipe aggregator. This dataset consists of 180K+ recipes and 700K+ recipe reviews covering 18 years of user interactions and uploads on Food.com (formerly GeniusKitchen).
